My Work

Entrack K-12 | Educator Evaluations, Elevated

About My Role

Not only did my time at Entrack support our most valuable resources (teachers and students), this role also cemented my career path. When we revealed our digitized SLO evaluation, teachers applauded.

With government regulations growing ever more rigourous, the ability to maintain, evaluate, and develop educators is becoming harder than ever. Entrack eases this pain through comprehensive educator evaluations, administrator dashboards, and professional learning.

Before Entrack, all of these evaluations were performed by hand, on paper, leading to enormous pain-points for educators.

My time at Entrack was the most pivotal period in my career. As a result of a feature released for educators of the Charleston County School District, my team recieved a standing ovation from those very teachers.

That was the moment I realized I could leverage my career to make a difference in the world - my work became more than a paycheck and I was hooked!

Big Win(s)

Our digitized SLO evaluation saved Charleston CSD educators an average of 43 hours a year.

Dashboards helped cement a pathway through which determined under-performers could be eliminated.

Boosted teacher retention by 3.9% via professional learning.

Dashboard Re-Design

Helping district administrators see the big picture. And the details, too.

Dashboards are the ultimate culmination of Entrack's evaluations. For every evaluation type, there exists a dashboard. Dashboard navigation allows views that scale from district-wide to the individual educator. High performers are be rewarded, and those who need support can be assigned professional learning.

Insights gleaned increased teacher retention (via professional learning) by 3.9%. Dashboards also created a concrete pathway for persistent under-performers to be terminated - an extraordinarily difficult task in the education world. A win for teachers and students.

SLO Evaluation Re-Design

This evaluation went my many nicknames. I think the most appropriate and descriptive term was The Monster. A true ghoul, it went bump in the night.

The Student Learning Objective (SLO) is one of the most complex evaluations educators face—a real-life monster. It spans the entire school year and often determines contract renewal. Teachers record student metrics at mid-year and year-end, reflect on progress, and undergo evaluator reviews.

These inputs result in a 4.0 score and a separate “met/not met” judgment—based on both data and soft skills. Together, they decide a teacher’s fate.

Our work on the SLO evaluation tamed the monster saving teachers and administrators an average of 43 hours per school year.

SLO Evaluation - Wireframe Sections
Metadata header - contains important attributes that, not only identify the participants, but also for legal compliance.
Student Target Worksheet - records certain quantitative classroom metrics for each student and their yearly performance.
Discussion Questions - allows the educator and evaluator to set qualitative goals and reflect, verbally/in writing, on progress.
Conference Signatures - Both the educator and evaluator were required to sign-off on each segment of the SLO, ensuring total legal compliance.
